Q: Why did I receive a Proof of Claim form?

A: All employees of GTAT have received a proof of claim form. To the extent you believe you have a claim against GTAT that arose on or prior to October 6, 2014, you should fill out the form. The fact that you have received a proof of claim does not necessarily mean that you have a claim or that the debtors believe you have a claim. Please see the definitions and instructions on the claim form and the notice that accompanied the form for help in determining if you have a claim.

Q: What is the process for submitting a claim?

A: If you believe you have a claim, please follow the steps outlined on the Proof of Claim form that you received in the mail (or access via http://www.kccllc.net/gtat). If you need help in determining whether or not you should file a claim, or if your specific situation and circumstances warrant filing a claim, you may want to seek the advice of an attorney. GTAT, the company’s advisors and attorneys, KCC and the court cannot provide legal advice regarding our Chapter 11 case and we cannot advise you as to whether to submit a proof of claim form. You can find instructions for filling out the claim form and information about the Chapter 11 filings at http://www.kccllc.net/gtat.

Q: I am comfortable with the amount noted in the Proof of Claim form that I received. Do I still need to file a claim?

A: Per the instructions included with the proof of claim, if you agree with the amount, priority / nature and Debtor asserted on the proof of claim form, and the proof of claim does not indicate that such claim is contingent, unliquidated, and/or disputed, there is no need to file a claim.

Q: I disagree with the amount noted in the Proof of Claim form that I received or my claim was noted as contingent, unliquidated and/or disputed. Do I need to file a claim?

A: If you believe you have a claim in an amount different than in the Proof of Claim form you received or your Proof of Claim form was marked as contingent, unliquidated and/or disputed, please follow the steps outlined on the Proof of Claim form that you received in the mail (or access via http://www.kccllc.net/gtat). If you need help in determining whether or not you should file a claim, or if your specific situation and circumstances warrant filing a claim, you may want to seek the advice of an attorney. GTAT cannot provide legal advice regarding our Chapter 11 case and we cannot advise you as to whether to submit a proof of claim form. You can find instructions for filling out the claim form and information about the Chapter 11 filings at http://www.kccllc.net/gtat.

Q: The Proof of Claim form that I received was blank and did not include a dollar amount. Do I need to file a claim?

A: If you believe you have a claim, please follow the steps outlined on the Proof of Claim form that you received in the mail (or access via http://www.kccllc.net/gtat). If you need help in determining whether or not you should file a claim, or if your specific situation and circumstances warrant filing a claim, you may want to seek the advice of an attorney.
